New Harris Teeter open
Harris Teeter's new store in Indian Land opened today in Carolina Commons, 6271 Carolina Commons Drive, Indian Land.
The new store, off Hwy. 521, features Farmers Market produce, a full-service meat market with USDA Rancher beef, HT Reserve Angus Beef and HT Naturals Natural Beef, Fishermans Market Seafood and Fresh Foods Market Deli/Bakery items.
Kane raises money for Care Center
Kane Family Chiropractic is hosting its third annual Patient Appreciation Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 28. Free chiropractic services will be given to raise money for the Fort Mill Care Center. Those who wish to attend are asked to make a cash donation (suggested minimum is $20) that will benefit the Care Center, a nonprofit organization.
Last year, $1,500 was raised. It helped pay for food, medicine, school supplies and emergency assistance for local families in need.
"Setting aside a day to donate services in exchange for money to help our charity is truly appreciated," said Hugh Mullis, director of the Fort Mill Care Center.
Existing Kane Family Chiropractic patients will receive a complimentary adjustment (valued at $62), and people new to the office will get their first examination at no charge (valued at $123). Everyone will be entered to win prizes from local supporters: Massage Envy, Anytime Fitness, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, Savannah's Room, Mary Kay, Tega Cay Pharmacy, Moore Tech Computer Services, Carolina Pilates and the Charlotte Knights.

BB&T helping Hispanic customers
BB&T is rolling out a new brand extension, BB&T Vecino - a tailored version of the traditional banking center that offers products and services specifically for the needs of Hispanic consumers.
The new brand will be introduced from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at its branch inside Plaza Fiesta Carolinas, 3700 Avenue of the Carolinas (off Carowinds Boulevard), Fort Mill. Everyone is invited.
Enjoy complimentary food and refreshments, activities for kids and live music. There will also be a chance to win a $250 BB&T gift card.
Medical plaza opens
A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for the much-anticipated CMC-Fort Mill Medical Plaza was held recently at the facility, located at 704 Gold Hill Rd, Fort Mill.
The new medical plaza offers Fort Mill residents and nearby communities access to an Urgent Care Center, as well as practices for Pediatrics, Family Medicine, GYN/OB services and Cardiac Care, all in one convenient location. Urgent Care, Rock Hill Pediatrics, Shiland Family Medicine, Piedmont GYN/OB and Sanger Clinic will be housed in the 40,000 square-foot medical plaza. The physician practices will be able to continue their long history of caring for adult and pediatric patients in the area by expanding their offices in one shared community location.
All five groups are moving physicians to Fort Mill.
