Harper joins First National

Kaye Harper has joined First National Bank as a teller in the bank's Stonecrest office in Tega Cay.

Prior to joining the bank, Harper was employed with the City of Tega Cay. She has an associate's degree in secretarial science from Columbia commercial College.

Griffin Team helps cause

The Tom Griffin Team from Bank of America Home Loans in Fort Mill was recently a Silver Sponsor of the Party in Pink Charity dinner held at the Palisades Country Club.

The event benefitted the York County Cancer Association/Breast Cancer Support Fund.

The Griffin Team is located at the Bank of America Branch on Tom Hall Street. in downtown Fort Mill.

Network in Fort Mill

The York County Regional Chamber's Fort Mill Area Council will host Networking at the Fort Mill Office from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at its 210 Tom Hall St. location.

Spirit week fun at Chick-fil-A

The Chick-fil-A Football Challenge between Nation Ford and Fort Mill High Schools kicks off this week in honor of the “Milltown Showdown” football game.

From Saturday, Oct. 31 to Thursday, Nov. 5, customers at the Chick-fil-A on Hwy. 160 West in Fort Mill can "vote" for their favorite school by placing their receipts in that school's ballot box. The school that eats the most chicken wins $500 and the runner up wins $250.

The restaurant will announce the winner at the Friday, Nov. 6, game. Also during the week, students will decorate the store with banners and paint the windows.

Sayago's, an ice cream and sandwich shop on Market Street in Baxter Village that features New York egg creams, has designated Tuesday and Seniors Day. All senior citizens get a 20 percent discount.

Also at Sayago's is live music every Saturday from 7 to 10 p.m.
