Ensign Monica Nicole Amagna of Tulsa, Okla., and Lt. Chris Joseph Schneider of Fort Mill were married Jan. 10, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
The bride is the daughter of Rob and Edna Amagna of Tulsa, and the groom's parents are Dave and Gail Schneider of Fort Mill.
The Rev. Wade Paschal performed the ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a pearl beaded and lace ivory gown, designed by Oleg Cassani. She carried a bouquet of orchids, lilies and roses.
Maid of honor was Ensign Sarah Bergman of Fort Mill who wore her U.S. Navy dress white uniform. Bridesmaids were Second Lt. Kristine Wong of the U.S. Marine Corp and New York; Angelica Atendido of New Jersey, the bride's cousin; and Charmaine Flotildes and Cheryl Charisse Contreas, the bride's cousins, both of California. They wore red satin, strapless gowns. Flower girls were the bride's nieces, Chaeli Flotildes and Chiara Flotildes.
Sgt. David Brett Schneider, the groom's brother, of Fort Mill, carried the rings and served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom's father and Mark Amagna, the bride's brother, of Tulsa.
The bride's mother wore a cream-colored gown of hand-loomed Pina fabric from the Philippines with red, handmade embroidered accents. The groom's mother wore a two-piece red, satin jacket and black satin skirt.
Church decorations consisted of tiered candles with white bows with ferns and ivy greenery, adorned with roses.
A reception was held at Petroleum Club in downtown Tulsa.
After a wedding trip to Belize City and Cozumel, the couple settled in Norfolk, Va., where they are stationed while serving in the U.S. Navy.
The bride graduated in 2008 from the U.S. Naval Academy and is employed in the Navy on the Nassau carrier ship. The groom also graduated in 2007 from the U.S. Naval Academy and also is employed with the Navy as a Naval aviator.
