Surles, Crawford wed
Melissa Kathyrn Surles and Brett Wayne Crawford were married Aug. 16, 2009, on the Carnival Cruise Ship Legend in Tampa, Fla.
The bride was given away by her father.
Those in attendance were: Mr. and Mrs. Robert E Surles, the bride's parents, of Fort Mill; Mr. and Mrs. Donald D. Smith, the groom's mother and stepfather, of Gastonia, N.C.; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford W Crawford, the groom's father and step mother, of New Ellenton; Mr. and Mrs. Scott Gainey, the bride's sister and brother in law, of Fort Mill; Bradley Crawford, the groom's brother, of Charlotte; and Christine Treffeisen and Darin Murphy, friends of the bride and groom, both of Charlotte.
The bride is employed as a Dental Hygienist with the practice of Dr. Perry Sowell in Charlotte.
The groom is employed with Hendrix BMW in Charlotte.
A reception followed the ceremony on the ship.
After a honeymoon to the Western Caribbean, the couple will settle in Charlotte.
