Sexton, Lingerfelt wed

Michelle Lee Sexton of Rock Hill and Eric Shane Lingerfelt of Fort Mill were married Aug. 22, 2009, at Independent Bible Baptist Church in Charlotte.

The bride is the daughter of Larry W. Sexton and Joanne S. Herring, both of York, and the groom's parents are the late Jack A. and Margaret H. Lingerfelt.

Pastor Ricky D. Cope of Trinity Baptist Church in Fort Mill performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She carried a bouquet of white roses with baby's breath and greenery.

Matron of honor was Michelle Dickinson Morris of Rock Hill. Bridesmaids were Amanda Lingerfelt, the groom's daughter, of Pineville, N.C., Tammy Dill of Rock Hill and Julie Hood of Indian Land. Flower girl was Madison Marie Sexton, the bride's niece. Ring bearer was Adam Morris of Rock Hill.

David Allen Cloninger of Indian Land was the best man. Ushers were Doug W. Sexton and Lenny D. Herring, the bride's brothers. Groomsmen were Eric Shane Lingerfelt Jr., the groom's son, of Pineville, John Puckett of Huntersville, N.C., and Kevin Hood of Indian Land.

A reception was held at the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Pigeon Forge, Tenn., the couple settled in Rock Hill.

The bride graduated from Rock Hill High School and York Technical College and is employed with Honor Equipment Company in Pineville. The groom has been self-employed in the plumbing industry for more than 20 years.
