Owens, Langford marry

Lori Reneé Owens of Fort Mill and Thomas Andrew Langford of Sumter were married June 13, 2009, at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pineville, N.C.

The Revs. Rodney Cripps and Lee Davis officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Sherri Owens of Fort Mill.

The bridegroom is the son of Bill and Marla Langford of Sumter.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an Alfred Angelo gown of white satin with a halter neckline, crystal beading and a semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

Maid of honor was Katelyn Schultz, friend of the bride, from Sumter. Bridesmaids were Brytnee Bennett, friend of the bride, from Charlotte, Lauren Fowler, cousin of the bride, from Tega Cay, Meredith Lamb, friend of the bride from Charlotte, and Amanda Langford, sister-in-law of the groom, from High Point, N.C. They wore chiffon Alfred Angelo separates in indigo with a halter neckline and an A-line floor length skirt.

The flower girl was Madelyn Cutchins of Fort Mill.

Best Man was Timothy Langford, brother of the groom, from High Point. Groomsmen were Joshua Owens, brother of the bride, from Fort Mill, Travis Owens, brother of the bride, from Fort Mill, John Rogers, friend of the groom, from Rock Hill, and Aaron Tanner, friend of the groom, from Sumter. Ushers were Mr. Justin Fowler, cousin of the bride, from Charlotte and Nathan Gray, friend of the couple, from Rock Hill.

Ring bearer was Master Evan Burwell of Fort Mill.

A reception was held at the Anne Springs Close Dairy Barn in Fort Mill.

The bride graduated in 2002 from Fort Mill High School and 2006 from Winthrop University with a degree in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Early Intervention.

The groom graduated in 2004 from Sumter High School and 2009 from Winthrop University with a degree in Music Education. He is currently employed as a band director at Northridge Middle School in Charlotte, NC.

The newlyweds honeymooned at Sandals Inn in Montego Bay, Jamaica, and are currently living in Mint Hill, N.C.
