Chase ends in arrest
A Gastonia, N.C., man was arrested on multiple charges after leading police on a brief chase after an officer attempted to pull him over Sunday, April 27, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.
Minivan not returned
A Fort Mill Township woman complained to authorities that she allowed her boyfriend to borrow her minivan on Thursday, April 24, but did not have it returned to her, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report. The report stated that the woman's boyfriend was using her 2007 Honda Odyssey to go to the store. The value of the minivan is $25,000. Deputies are looking for the boyfriend for questioning, according to the report.
Sign damaged
A sign hanging from a business on Market Street in Baxter Village was damaged sometime between Friday, April 25, and Sunday, April 27, according to a sheriff's report.
The report stated that the victim believes the owner of another business damaged the sign because two months ago, he asked her to take it down and threatened to take it down himself. The sign is worth $2,000, the owner told deputies.
Car damaged, property stolen
A Canadian man's car was broken into and burglarized while it was parked outside a restaurant on Carowinds Boulevard Saturday, April 26, according to a sheriff's report.
The vehicle's front passenger side door was punched out. The damage is $500. The report stated that a computer, money and passports are some of the items taken from the car. The owner said they had a total value of $1,535.
