Saturday marks the first Fort Mill Springfest at Walter Y. Elisha Park in downtown Fort Mill. The event kicks off at 10 a.m., and town staff are busy getting everything ready.

"Everything is going well. We're just crossing the t's and dotting the i's," Fort Mill Parks and Recreation Director Brown Simpson said. "We're keeping our fingers crossed for good weather Saturday."

Parking will be available on Main Street, at all nearby churches, the field at Lee and Calhoun streets, and along Sidney Johnson and Morgan streets. Fort Mill police will be directing traffic.
