Store robbed by gunmen
Two men with hand guns robbed a store of money and cigarettes while a third sat in the getaway car on Hwy. 21 on Thursday, May 15, according to a York County Sheriff's office report.
Cocaine charge
A Fort Mill woman was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and possession of marijuana at the intersection of Fort Mill Parkway and Spratt Street on Monday, May 12, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.
Cassandra Jones, of 1043 J.W. Wilson Road, was stopped by an officer after allegedly failing to use her turning signal and erratic driving. The officer said in the report that he smelled marijuana coming from her car. While searching the car, the officer allegedly found three baggies of cocaine, the report stated. Both charges would be second offenses for Jones if she's convicted, according to police.
Fugitive found
North Carolina plans to extradite a Charlotte man arrested on Carowinds Boulevard last Wednesday, according to a sheriff's office report.
An officer stopped Devrie Burris, 48, of 4511 Ridgeley Road, for a burned out license plate light on May 14. During the traffic stop, he learned a fugitive warrant had been issued for Burris in North Carolina on a possession of cocaine charge, the report stated.
Metal stolen
A Fort Mill Township business on Center Circle was robbed sometime between Wednesday, May 14, and Thursday, May 15, according to a sheriff's office report.
Approximately $2,000 worth of metal shelving material was stolen from the parking lot behind the business, according to the report.
