Cops assist in car chase
Fort Mill police and the York County Sheriff's office assisted N.C. Highway Patrol officers in a chase on Sunday, July 6, that ended on he S.C. side of the border in Fort Mill Township, according to a report.
The Fort Mill report did say that a woman, who was not identified, was driving the second vehicle and that officers at one point subdued her with a stun gun. The woman, whose name was not included in the report, was not arrested.
Watch stolen
A Fort Mill woman's Rolex was stolen on Horton Grover Road on Saturday, June 28, according to a police department report.
The report stated that the victim was at the neighborhood pool, where she left her watch and other personal belongings.
Car burglaries
Two cars, in two different hotel parking lots in Fort Mill were broken into sometime between 10 p.m. last Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday, according to York County Sheriff's Office reports. Both reports stated that the suspect punched the driver's side lock and stole items that were inside of the car. The deputy handling both burglaries was able to lift fingerprints from both vehicles and hopes to determine if one suspect is responsible for both burglaries.
Car vandalized
A Matthews, N.C., woman's car was vandalized on Foothills Way sometime between 11 p.m. last Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday, according to a sheriff's office report.
The report stated that the victim left her car in the parking lot overnight and when she came back the front windshield was smashed and there were scratches on the hood.
