A Tega Cay man, wanted by the N.C. Department of Corrections for driving under the influence level 2 and assault by strangulation, was arrested and charged for driving under suspension and as a fugitive from justice at the intersection of Hwy. 160 West and Dam Road on Saturday, July 12, according to a Tega Cay Police Department report.

Jason James Larson, 33, of 10200 Bora Bora Drive, was pulled over after he failed to use his right turning signal, according to the report. The officer asked for Larson's driver's license, registration and insurance, but all Larson had was a passport. A check with the National Crime Information Center showed Larson's North Carolina driver's license was suspended and he was wanted by the N.C. authorities. Larson is currently at Moss Justice Center in York awaiting extradition.

Delivery driver nearly robbed

A Rock Hill man took a fake delivery order and was almost robbed on Epps Road on Friday, July 11, according to sheriff's office report.

The victim had instructions to bring the pizza he was delivering to the home's side door. When he got there, he saw a man cocking a pistol several times. The suspect said to put the pizzas down and then told him to put his flashlight down. The victim refused to put the flashlight down and when he turned around, two more people were around the back of the house. The victim ran away and called the police at a home on Munn Road, the report stated.

A K-9 Unit did not find the suspects at the house. The delivery store searched their records and no one from this residence had ordered since Saturday, Dec. 23, 2006, according to the report.

Tires and wheels stolen

An Indian Land man's tires and wheels were stolen outside of a home on Fern Run Court on Saturday, July 12, according to a York County Sheriff's Office report.

Someone removed Giovanna model V5 wheels and Pirelli model PZero Nero tires from the victim's 2003 Infiniti G35, the report stated. The porch light bulb at the Fern Run Court home was turned slightly so there was no light on when the victim arrived home. One partial print was taken from the bulb. The total value of the stolen items is $3,500.

Car shot

A Fort Mill man's car was shot in a parking lot on Hwy. 160 West on Thursday, July 10, according to a Fort Mill Police Department report.

The report stated that seven holes were discovered, with 9 mm casings on the ground at the scene. The victim stated that he did not know who may have shot the car. The damage to the gray 2003 Mitsubishi Gallant is $1,500, according to the report.
