Thief steals electronics, purses from van at Plaza Fiesta

The Herald

A thief broke into a van parked at Fort Mill’s Plaza Fiesta Sunday night, stealing $325 in electronic equipment, $100 cash and a plastic tub of purses worth about $200, according to a York County Sheriff’s Office incident report.

Video surveillance showed a man in a small black SUV, possibly an Isuzu Rodeo, break into the Pineville woman’s 2001 Oldsmobile van sometime before 7:30 p.m.

The suspect punched the driver’s side lock and removed the equipment, a radio/DVD player, from the dash. The reporting officer lifted two fingerprints from the driver’s door.

A suspect is not known and the case remains active.
