I decided to see what the FLYERS kids who attend Fort Mill Elementary School thought about their teachers this year.
Here's what some of them had to say:
From Kindergartners: "My teacher is kind, she even taught me how to add and subtract 50+50 is 100." - Josh P.
"My teacher is very kind and lovely." - Lilly K.
"My teacher is kind and helps me with my work every day." - Lilly R.
First graders: "My teacher let's me color and learn new things every day." - Taylor.
"My teacher gives me treats and helps us with our work every day." - Henry.
"My teacher is great!" - Jada.
Second graders: "My teacher is funny and is very kind to me." - Jackson.
"My teacher lets me do crafts like I do in Flyers." - Chris.
April, a third grader, said, "after the PASS test was over she let us do crafts and a whole bunch of different projects."
Fourth grader Carson said, "my teacher prepared us for the Pass test and now we are doing fun things and of course no homework!"
A fifth grader, Maya, said, "my teacher is creative, helpful, caring a mentor to everyone, and besides all this she is really a hard worker."
How great - not one negative thing!
Teachers do more than teach; Their job descriptions could be endless. After listening to these children, you realize what an important part teachers hold in a child's life. So, we say a big thank you to all the teachers, administrators and staff.
When Dennis Waitley wrote "Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace and gratitude," I think he was describing our teachers.
