Fort Mill High School’s Marching Band, which won the 2009 S.C. state championship, was honored at the S.C. House of Representatives Thursday.
Rep. Deborah Long (R-Indian Land) sponsored a resolution to honor the FMHS Band for winning the Class 4A title, it’s fourth in 4A and 22nd state title overall. She presented the resolution to Band Director John Pruitt, who was joined on the podium by Asst. Band Director Chad Pence and Drum Majors Ahmez Nash and Josh Harris.
The other band members circled the interior walls of the House chamber.
