Woman brandishes

knife in parking lot

A Fort Mill woman is accused of threatening a mother and her daughter with a knife in the parking lot of a Fort Mill Food Lion grocery store, according to a Fort Mill Police report.

The alleged incident happened Nov. 13 at the Food Lion at 1360 Hwy. 160 East. The report states two women, ages 22 and 17, began arguing with the mother and her teenage daughter at the cash register inside the store. Once outside, the 22-year-old brought a knife out of her car and threatened the women, yelling, “I’m the baddest in Fort Mill!” the report states.

The victims fled and reported the incident to police. They said they knew the women because the daughter shares a class at Nation Ford High School with the 17-year-old who accompanied the woman with the knife.

The next day, the 17-year-old suspect confronted the daughter at school. Teachers separated the two girls. The report states police continue to investigate.
