Report: Man attacked by dog in Elisha Park
FORT MILL A 68-year-old man was bitten by a dog while he was jogging in Walter Y. Elisha Park, according to a Fort Mill Police report.
The man told police he was jogging in the park around 10:30 a.m. May 12 when he passed a 77-year-old woman with her dog. The dog then “viciously attacked” him, biting his leg, the report states. The man received treatment at an urgent care center. Police did not list the breed of the dog. No criminal charges were filed.
Police: Man kicks down door over $40 gift
TEGA CAY Police were called to a Tega Cay home last week after an 18-year-old kicked in a door in a fit of rage because his mother wouldn’t give him $40 for his birthday, according to a Tega Cay Police report.
The woman called police around 2 p.m. May 4 because her son had become “irate” when she refused to give him cash as a birthday gift. Police arrived at the Swarrow Circle home in Tega Cay to find the teen had thrown deck chairs off the back porch, broken a screen door window and kicked in the back door, the report states. The mom, 55, declined to press charges, telling police she just needed help until her son “cooled off.”
Suicide victim found in church parking lot
FORT MILL A North Carolina woman apparently killed herself in a Fort Mill church parking lot, according to a Fort Mill Police report.
Police were called to Bible Baptist Church at 255 U.S. 21 around 12:30 p.m. May 10 to investigate a car in the parking lot. An officer discovered a deceased 22-year-old woman in the car.
It was ruled she died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, the report states. The woman’s address is listed in Statesville, N.C. It’s unclear why she was in Fort Mill. The case is under investigation.
