Dunn, Christiansen marry

Heather Marie Dunn of Clemson, formerly of Fort Mill and Jon Fredric Christiansen of Greer were married On May 19, 2012, at the Woodburn Historic House in Pendleton.

The Rev. Mark Charney officiated the 2 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is daughter of Bob and Vickie Dunn of Fort Mill. She graduated from Clemson University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in graphic communications and in 2010 with a Master of Arts in professional communications.

The bridegroom is the son of Fred and Toni Christiansen of Greer. He graduated from Clemson University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in economics. Doing his post-graduate work at Clemson, he earned a master’s degree in economics in 2007 and a PhD in educational leadership and organizational behavior in 2011.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a gown of satin organza and carried a bouquet of white, blue and purple hydrangeas, purple status and purse anemone.

The maid of honor was Holly Dunn, sister of the bride from Greenville. The bridesmaids were Shanna Sykes, friend of the bride from Simpsonville; Kimberly Diedrich, friend of the bride of Fort Mill; Katie Spearman, friend of the bride of Charlotte, and Katie Bintz, sorority sister of the bride from Clemson. The bridesmaids wore knee-length chiffon dresses in eggplant.

The flower girls were Claire McDonald of Columbia and Linnea Paquin of Ann Arbor, Mich., both nieces of the groom.

The best man was Gregg Miller, fraternity brother of the groom, of Charleston. The groomsmen included John-David McKee, friend of the groom of Greenville, Dan McKechnie, friend of the groom, of Augusta, Ga., David Sparks, friend of the groom of Clemson and Creswell Curtis, fraternity brother of the groom, of Augusta.

The reception was held at Woodburn Historic House and the newlyweds honeymooned in California and upon their return settled in Clemson.
