Gillam, Sandberg wed

Janelle Leanne Gillam of Fort Mill and Timothy John Sandberg of Staten Island, N.Y., were married March 31, 2012, at The King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta.

Janelle Leanne Gillam of Fort Mill and Timothy John Sandberg of Staten Island, N.Y., were married March 31, 2012, at The King Plow Arts Center in Atlanta. James Harris Jr. officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mariela Trejo-Gillam and Lee Gillam of Fort Mill. She graduated in 2005 from New York Institute of Technology on Long Island. She is a boutique associate in Atlanta with a B.A. in advertising.

The bridegroom is the son of Maryanne and Bruce Sandberg of Staten Island. He graduated in 2006 from New York Institute of Technology on Long Island with a B.A. in architecture. He is an architect in Atlanta.

The bride wore a Vera Wang gown. In lieu of flowers, she carried a bouquet of brooches given to the bride by women who attended the wedding.

Maid of honor was Julianne Hamilton, a friend from college, from Berne, N.Y.

Bridesmaids were Sarah Gillam, sister of the bride, of Fort Mill; Lauren Oscani, a college friend of the bride, of Mahopac, N.Y.; and Amanda Gillam, sister of the bride, of Fort Mill. They wore different styled dresses in dusty vintage colors.

Best man was Andrew Johnson, childhood best friend of the groom, of Staten Island. Groomsmen were Patrick Sandberg, brother of the groom, of Staten Island; Michael Kerr, college friend of the groom, of Yonkers, N.Y.; and Greg Bullen, a childhood friend of the groom, of Staten Island.

A reception was held at The King Plow Arts Center. The newlyweds honeymooned in New Orleans and settled in Atlanta.
