Kindness of neighbors appreciated

Kindness of neighbors appreciated

I am writing this to those people who wonder if there are still good people and good intentions in this world.

I was in a car accident last December. My foot and ankle were badly injured and I have been unable to walk and work since. There were many friends and neighbors who came to help. It was very humbling to know how many people truly do care and want to help.

One of the most amazing things that happened was something done by someone I didn’t even know. My neighbor contracts Kevin Kessell of Royal Lawn Landscaping for her yard work. Mr. Kessell noticed my grass was getting long and my yard needed attention. When he heard my situation he took it upon himself to take care of my lawn himself. Not only would this have been generous by anyone’s account, I thought it was especially touching since I didn’t know him, nor he know me, but this also was his livelihood and he asked for nothing in return.

In this day and age, I think this is a testament to the goodness of mankind. Thank you, Mr. Kessell, for not only what he did for me, but what he and people like him do for all of us.
