TEGA CAY --

A Tega Cay homeowner believes a group of teenagers broke into his home and held a party while he and his family were out of town – and he discovered the burglary via Facebook.

The 39-year-old resident told police last week that he discovered photos on Facebook of six teenagers inside his home off Bluebell Way in Tega Cay drinking alcohol, throwing up in his sink and laying in his son’s bed, according to a Tega Cay Police report. No one in his family was at home during the break-in and subsequent party.

The suspects are classmates of the homeowner’s daughter, he told police. He found the photos online this week, but suspects the incident happened the week of July 4 when his family was out of town. Police investigated, found a damaged window screen and determined that the teenagers likely entered the locked home through the window, according to the report.

Police are still investigating the case as a burglary. No arrests have been made.
