Tega Cay wins Small Fry Division

The Tega Cay Trojans avenged an earlier loss to the Fort Mill Ducks to claim the Fort Mill/Tega Cay Small Fry Division championship last Thursday night at Fort Mill Middle School.
The final score was 14-8 after double overtime. The Trojans’ only loss of the regular season was to the Ducks, who were undefeated in regular season play.
In the first half, the Trojans’ Michael Tepper scored a touchdown and then quarterback Dylan Helms passed to Steven Neese for a two-point conversion. The score was tied 8-8 at halftime and remained that way during the second half of play.
In the first overtime, neither team was able to put points on the board. In the second overtime, the Trojans had first possession and Sam Gilbert scored a touchdown. The Ducks then had possession and fumbled and Neese recovered to end the game.
