INDIAN LAND --
Red Ventures is looking to hire 200 people for its inside sales team by the end of the year and 200 more employees in 2013, company officials said Wednesday.
The hiring is to meet the demands of three new companies that have signed with the Internet marketing firm based in Indian Land. Red Ventures does not disclose its clients.
By 2013 Red Ventures expects to have 1,800 employees.
Red Ventures sales force represents companies such as DirecTV and ADT Security.
Other clients are in the entertainment, data and Internet, energy and software service industries.
The company markets and sells services online as well as other offline channels.
The company also is adding its first team of certified insurance salespeople at its headquarters. Red Ventures bought HomeInsurance.com, based in Wilmington, N.C., in April.
The hirings are part of Red Ventures plan to hire as many as 1,000 new employees over the next five years.
Red Ventures is looking for people who are willing to learn and can manage technology and talk at the same time, said Elizabeth Persson, Red Ventures director of human capital. Previous sales experience is not required.
The jobs have a base pay plus sales commissions. Employees average between $45,000 and $60,000 in these jobs, Persson said.
People can apply for the jobs at RedVentures.com, where they also can register for the interview day, scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Applicants should bring a resume that day, Persson said. There will be one-on-one interviews with Red Ventures personnel.
Those selected for a second round of interviews should be notified in about a week, she said.
In addition to the inside sales positions, Red Ventures is also looking to hire experienced Web developers, designers and copy writers.
