Barnett, Strange marry

Melinda Dawn Barnett and Robert Joseph Strange were united in marriage on Sept. 9, 2012, on the beach at Edisto Island.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents on Edisto.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Barnett of Lenoir, N.C. She is currently completing her culinary degree at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Strange of Lenoir and Edisto Island. He is the grandson of Robert C. Hill and the late Dorothy C. Hill of Fort Mill. He is currently employed as a chef at the Meadowbrook Inn in Blowing Rock, N.C.

Following a wedding trip to Charleston, the couple settled in Lenoir.
