APM aids victims of super storm Sandy

Aid for ‘Sandy’ victims

I work part time at our local Lowe’s store. Today I witnessed incredible corporate support and caring for the people of New Jersey who were virtually wiped out because of the force of Hurricane Sandy. The Charlotte office of APM Terminals, an international corporation, made their third visit to the store. They left with over $4,000 worth of supplies to help the people of the Jersey shore rebuild their lives.

An associate and myself requested that Lowe’s do their part and give them a discount on this incredible series of purchases. According to the lady I spoke to, helping out with disasters is just a part of APM Terminals’ DNA. As a matter of fact, they always have at least one trailer stocked and ready to go whenever disaster strikes.

In this cynical age, it is wonderful to see an organization like APM Terminals operate under the radar and quietly get things done for people truly in need. God bless them and their efforts to make a difference.

More people and companies should have the APM Terminals DNA in their genes!
