The Indian Land High School Miss Warrior Pageant Nov. 15 raised more than $1,200 for this year’s prom.
Meghan Moore was named Miss Warrior.
The other pageant winners were: Miss Senior Princess, Shayna Fairclough; Miss Congeniality, Dai’ja Brown; Miss Junior Princess, Ayana Jones; Miss Sophomore Princess, Brenna Dickerson; Miss Freshman Princess, Morgan Starkey; and Mr. Warrior, Chase Cunningham.
There were 300 people in attendance.
The show opened with participants dressed in jeans and T-shirts. They continued to a casual wear segment, a formal wear segment and then wrapped up the evening with interview questions.
Door prizes, donations from local businesses, were raffled off to audience members.
Moore took home the big prize package: She receives a $250 scholarship, a $250 gift card to Reign Fine Apparel to buy a prom dress, a $50 gift card for prom dinner, a corsage and boutonniere from Back Door Florist, two prom tickets and an updo and nail appointment from Dulce Lusso Salon and Day Spa.
