FORT MILL --

A Fort Mill woman was bitten by one of three dogs running loose in her neighborhood, according to a Fort Mill Police report.

The attack occurred in the Cascade neighborhood around 6:30 p.m. Nov. 20, the victim told police. The woman, 45, told police she was walking her dog on a leash when three large, white dogs running loose approached them. The three loose animals began fighting and bit the woman on her calf in the process, according to the police report.

Officers were able to catch one of the dogs. The dogs’ owner, a 53-year-old resident of the neighborhood, was located and issued a citation for allowing her animals to roam free.

The case was turned over to animal control officials.
