PHILADELPHIA --
The Carolina Panthers jumped out to an early two touchdown lead and never looked back against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday in Philadelphia.
The Panthers held on to win 30-22 to improve to 3-8, while the Eagles fell to 3-8.
New Carolina kicker Graham Gano made a 23-yard attempt in the third quarter, but missed a point-after attempt in the fourth quarter, which wouldve put the Panthers up nine, and out of reach for the Eagles.
It didnt matter, however, as the Panthers milked the final four and a half minutes off the clock.
Philadelphia wide receiver DeSean Jackson and defensive tackle Fletcher Cox both left the Eagles game against Carolina with injuries and the team said they would not return.
Jackson suffered a sternum injury in the first quarter Monday night. Cox suffered a lower back/tailbone injury. X-rays on both players were negative.
The Eagles were already playing without quarterback Michael Vick and running back LeSean McCoy because of concussions.
Carolina running back Jonathan Stewart injured an ankle in the third quarter and his return was questionable.
