You have all heard the story of the Grinch that stole Christmas. He was a grumpy hermit who planned to steal Christmas from the Whos of Whoville.
Bitter and hateful, the Grinch is irritated at the thought of the nearby village having a happy time celebrating Christmas. Disguised as Santa with his dog made to look like a reindeer, he raids the village to steal all the Christmas things.
The Indian Land grinches did not pretend to be Santa. No, they were two crooks who stole something important from two girls. Both girls are competitive motorcross bike racers. Yes, they stole both bikes the day before the girls were to qualify for a big race. They also stole from several homes in that area, including the girls’ grandmother and grandfather.
You’re a mean pair, you two grinches!
After calling the sheriff, the families decided to do some investigating on their own. Since it was such a rural area they decided to follow trails in the woods. The first day, nothing. Then, on the second day, they went farther into the woods and saw some houses, and in front of one of the houses, there sat the smallest trail bike about to be dismantled. There was no sign of the large bike.
The grinches were in the process of selling some of the tools they stole, also. One of the grinches was picked up immediately by officers. The other ran into the woods and was apprehended. They will be spending Christmas in prison.
In the story, the Grinch’s heart was three times smaller than it should have been, hence the reason for his mean streak toward the people of Whoville.
These two Grinches just had no heart.
Be careful at this holiday season because there are Grinches around, disguised as humans.
