Sign-ups under way for Tega Cay rec sports
Tega Cay Parks and Rec spring sports registration runs until Feb. 9. Youth sports offered are ASA Softball (7-12), Little League Baseball (3-13) and Youth Soccer (3-14). Adult sports offered are Coed Kickball and Men’s and Women’s Softball (21 and older).

The Fort Mill Dragons Rugby Club is looking for players from beginner up to experienced to play on middle school (ages 10-14) and high school (19 and under) teams. Players wanted for alumni football games
Would you like to strap on a helmet one more time?
Alumni football is coming to Fort Mill. Gridiron Alumni is planning several full contact alumni football games. Gridiron Alumni travels the nation pitting old football rivals against each other one more time. Players need to sign up, and the first 40 players on each team get to play. The team that gets 30 people registered first gets home-field advantage.
Teams from Fort Mill, Indian Land and Nation Ford high schools, as well as other area teams, are forming now. The games are set for early spring. Gridiron Alumni was founded in 2010 and has raised more than $150,000 for schools and charities using alumni football games.
Learn to play pickleball
USAPA Ambassadors Jane Harvey and Frank Kinder will be conducting an “Introduction to Pickleball” clinic at the Complex on the Greenway, 971 Tom Hall Street, Fort Mill, 1-3 p.m. over four consecutive Wednesdays beginning Jan. 9.
Participants may attend all four sessions, but it’s not mandatory. The cost is $3 a session for non-members and free for members.

If you’re a fan of the New York Giants and want to get together with other local fans for games this season, the Blue Room is reserved for game day at Madison’s on The Corner at the corner of Hwy. 160 West and Gold Hill Road in Fort Mill.

Fitness 101 at the Fort Mill YMCA is a course designed for anyone serious about getting leaner, stronger and in shape once and for all. Get the information you need to meet your fitness goals, addressing such issues as proper breathing, range of motion and exercise selection.
The course meets at 9 a.m. the third Saturday of each month and the cost is $5.
