Knights staff tend bar in Baxter for Salvation Army

FORT MILL --

The Charlotte Knights, Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, partnered with Six Pence Pub in Baxter Village recently to raise money for the Salvation Army.

“It’s always rewarding to be able to give back to our wonderful community, especially during the holiday season,” said Knights Director of Community Relations Lindsey Roycraft. “The Salvation Army is a great organization.”

During the event, the Knights raised money by serving drinks and holding special raffles. All of the money raised during that three-hour period, including a percentage of the Six Pence Pub’s sales from that span, was donated to the Salvation Army.

“We here at Six Pence are very excited to partner with the Charlotte Knights in an effort to bring together our community in this time of year when the spirit of charity and community are more prevalent than ever,” said Six Pence Pub Operations Manager Ray Reeves. “We are proud to help an organization such as the Salvation Army. The Salvation Army has been the standard for community outreach and social awareness for a very long time and we want to do our part to support that effort.”

Six Pence is located in Fort Mill’s Baxter Village on 993 Market St. It is a casual dining establishment that offers traditional British pub fare with southern American cuisine.

Knights season tickets are available by calling the Charlotte Knights at 704-357-8071, ext. 2106.
