Help Jake get to Garden

Jake Haldenwang is in his last semester at Fort Mill High School and he is another great talent from this area. He is a professional musician in competition to play with Eric Clapton at the Crossroads Guitar Festival at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Haldenwang is a gifted singer and songwriter who leads the group “Halden Vang.” He began playing the guitar at the age of 11. By the time he was 12 he was performing live and by the time he was 13 he was fronting his own band. At 14 he had written 13 songs, including “To Tell the Truth,” written in collaboration with producer Gary Vincent of Morgan Freeman Ground Zero Music Company.

“Tell the Truth” became the title track for his first CD, which was produced and released in March 2010, before his 15th birthday. In September 2012 he was nominated and selected for “Carolinas Got Talent” in Charlotte.

Haldenwang is headed in the right direction in this competition. Out of 2,300 entries, he is in the top 100 for this gig at Madison Square Garden.
