FORT MILL --
Supplements, massage, acupuncture, balance, cosmetics, insurance – all were on display Saturday at the largest health fair to date at the Recreation Complex at the Anne Springs Close Greenway.
There were 25 vendors and a blood drive, along with safety demonstrations by town police and firefighters. Stefania Lawson is the weight room supervisor and wellness coordinator at the complex. She organized the health fair and hopes to have at least one event like it each year.
“I really wanted it to be open, free,” she said.
Past fair have been held during the work week and for members. This time it was on Saturday and was open to anyone. Students from Nation Ford High School volunteered to perform body fat analysis, and nursing students at York Technical College helped, too.
Lawson now will help with a wellness component to an upcoming bridal showcase, as well as the next public event at the complex.
