Grennan, Starnes wed in Fort Mill

Lauren Elizabeth Grennan of Fort Mill and Christopher Dylan Starnes of Stanfield, N.C., were married Dec. 2, 2012, at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill.

The Rev. James Grennan officiated the 5 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Stephanie Grennan of Fort Mill. She graduated in 2008 from Fort Mill High School. She is a lead preschool teacher at Kids Are Kids in Charlotte.

The bridegroom is the son of Billy and Bobbie Starnes of Stanfield, N.C. He graduated from West Stanly High School. He is employed by Schaeffer Technologies in Oakboro, N.C., and INA Bearing in Fort Mill.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

She wore a gown of tulle with a strapless, satin bodice, chapel train, and metallic embroidery and beading. Her veil was three tiered and she wore a traditional tiara headpiece. She carried a bouquet of red roses and pearls.

Maid of honor was Kristi Tolvinsky, cousin of the bride, of Fort Mill. Junior bride was Jadyn Grennan, sister of the bride, of Fort Mill.

Bridesmaids were Rosie Cohen, cousin of the bride, of Fort Mill, Linda Kott, cousin of the bride, of Matthews, N.C., and Lily Anderson, niece of the groom, of Mill Hill, N.C. They wore mercury-colored, princess-cut ball gowns. Flower girls were Ava and Kendall Anderson, nieces of the groom, of Stanfield.

Best man was Billy Starnes, father of the groom, of Stanfield. Groomsmen were Daniel Lee, friend of the groom, of Oakboro and Brooks Irving, friend of the groom.

Ushers were John Grennan of Fort Mill, Matthew Barret of Fort Mill and David Tindell of Indian Trail, N.C., all cousins of the bride. Ring bearer was Aidan Anderson, nephew of the groom, of Mill Hill.

A reception was held at The Dairy Barn in Fort Mill. It was a formal, sit-down meal followed by dancing. The decor was done in a “winter at the barn” theme. Lanterns, holly, cranberries, red rose flower arrangements and mercury glass decorated the tables. Faux snow fell as the couple left the reception.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn., and settled in Charlotte.
