FORT MILL — After dropping a 5-2 lead to Blythewood and losing 6-5, the Fort Mill High baseball team bounced back to stay alive in the 4A state playoffs by beating TL Hanna 12-6.
TL Hanna took an early 3-0 lead through the first couple innings, but Fort Mill battled back to tie the game at 3-3 through three innings.
The Jackets then blew the doors off with an eight-run fourth inning. TL Hanna scored the last three runs of the game, but Fort Mill snuffed out any chance at a late rally.

Against TL Hanna, the Jackets were aided with the hot hitting of senior Kevin Woods, who went 2-3 with a home run and three RBI, as well as, junior Brett Netzer, who went 2-3, with a double and RBI.
Senior Collin Quinn got the win on the mound allowing just three runs on six hits in four innings of work.
Against Blythewood, Fort Mill again jumped out to a good lead, but allowed Blythewood to score four unanswered runs in the last two innings for the win.
Fort Mill scored four in the fourth to take the 5-2 lead, but Blythewood added one in the sixth and three in the bottom of the seventh.
The Jackets had 14 hits and had five players get two hits each in – Netzer, Josh Turner, Avery Carter, Jake Windham and Jaden Savage. Windham and sophomore Clay Helvey drove in two runs each.
Windham got the loss going six and a third innings, allowing six runs on nine hits.
