Nation Ford team takes state by storm at FBLA competition

The Nation Ford FBLA donated 30 Build-a-Bears to be given to the Shriners Childrens Hospital in Greenville.

Nation Ford Future Business Leaders of America competed at the state level in Charleston this month and came back with multiple chapter and individual awards.

The chapter won Gold Seal Chapter, Chapter Recruitment Award, and Largest AAAA Chapter Membership.

Senior Forrest Holloman won two special awards, the Rita Heape Scholarship and Who’s Who in FBLA Award that receives recognition at the National conference in June.

The following students won individual awards:

Marissa Sewell won 5th place in Accounting 1, Dial Devaney won 4th place in Business Calculations, Caitlin Smith won 3rd place in Business Calculations and qualified for Nationals, Eric Cirillo and Ross Jasper won 4th place for Business Ethics Team, Chase Norwood won 2nd place for Business Law and qualified for Nationals, Hailey Barefield won 5th place for Business Math, Maddie Brown, Nancy Farag, and Briana Iorio won 2nd place for Business Presentation Team and qualified for Nationals, Forrest Holloman won 1st place for Client Service and qualified for Nationals, Emily Kluttz won 2nd place for Community Service Project and qualified for Nationals, Wes Altman won 1st place for Database Design Access and qualified for Nationals, Jessica and Savannah Marsh won 1st place for Desktop Publishing Team and qualified for Nationals, Kevin Collins, Corey Condron and Jason Damm won 2nd place for Digital Video Team and qualified for Nationals, Hannah Willoughby won 2nd place for E-Business and qualified for Nationals, Josh Driscoll won 3rd place for Economics and qualified for Nationals, Andrew Merk won 1st place for Economics and qualified for Nationals, Amanda Agrawal and Gretchen Hall won 1st place for Emerging Business Issues Team and qualified for Nationals.

Joshua Cardenas and Brianna Prosser won 4th place for Emerging Business Issues, Madison Carmack won 5th place for FBLA Principles, Joey Martinek won 1st place for FBLA Principles and qualified for Nationals, Landon Bailey and Ashley Hudgins won 1st place for Global Business Team and qualified for Nationals, Victoria Valencia won 1st place for Health Care Administration and qualified for Nationals, Savannah Wright won 2nd place for Health Care Administration and qualified for Nationals, Jacob Wright won 1st place for Intro to Parliamentary Procedures and qualified for Nationals, Ali Swint won 5th place for Intro to Business, Micah Burris and Abby Tummers won 1st place for Management Decision Making Team and qualified for Nationals, Fungai Mumba won 3rd place for Public Speaking, and Jessi Walters won 2nd place for Spreadsheet Applications and qualified for Nationals.

The students also donated 30 Build-a-Bears to be given to the Shiners’ Children’s Hospital in Greenville.
