'Really?' Yes! Fort Mill High students win an Emmy for PSA

— A public service announcement produced by TV production students at Fort Mill High School has earned an Emmy for Outstanding Achievement from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Southeast.

The PSA, called “Really?” warns students against passing along information before thinking it through.

It was created by junior Sawyer Bengtson, seniors Mark Caponigro and Ryan Long and junior Mason Strohl, who also recently was named as the one representative from South Carolina to attend the student journalism conference in Washington, D.C., this summer.

“I wish I could take some credit for their greatness, but these guys are really, really talented,” their teacher, Karin Mckemey, wrote in an email Friday evening. “I just provided equipment! I'm so thrilled for them.”
