Good school increase property values

I was amused by statements from Denise Ferut (May 22, Fort Mill Times).

How does she know who was or wasn’t for the school bond measure? Did she take a poll?

Perhaps she never had children or they are grown and she doesn’t know what parents of children are going through at this time of school cutbacks. Ask any parent who has a child involved with after-school activities. It’s fees, fees and more fees. Perhaps she hasn’t lived here very long to remember the huge property tax cut homeowners received in 2006-2007 which helped cause the current state of affairs.

I am glad this school bond passed because good schools increase our property values and I don’t want our school district to suffer any more cutbacks.
