Fort Mill celebrated with a bang

On Sunday, June 30, during the 8:45 service at Unity Presbyterian Church, we were truly blessed once again when Richard Priode and his rich baritone voice sang a very stirring rendition of “This Is My Country.” What a great way to begin the week of celebrating Independence Day!

On Thursday, July 4, at First Baptist Church, the annual holiday program was held with an opening prayer, posting of colors, and a very inspiring rendition of “America the Beautiful” performed by Bill Cummings and Ron Cook, followed by a standing ovation. Awesome! Guest speaker Raye Felder gave a well-received message, and after the Honor Guard retired the colors, our ever-faithful bagpiper, Joe Hardy, led the procession to Confederate Park for the annual firing of the cannon, which went very smoothly.

On behalf of all in attendance I wish to thank everyone involved. God bless each and every one of you, and God Bless America! Hopefully more people will attend the service next year as it is very meaningful.
