’Into The Woods Jr.’ was a great show

Bravo, Fort Mill Playhouse!

On Sunday afternoon, July 28, my friend Adell and I attended the final performance of “Into The Woods, Jr.” This very entertaining play consisted of 20 very talented young people from the area ranging in age from 8 years old through high school.

It was an engaging and funny musical based on familiar fairy tales with an amusing twist. The professionalism of these young adults was awesome as they performed their magic to a very receptive and overflow crowd. The staff scurried around and found extra seats so no one was left standing. Kudos, staff!

A special thank you to 8-year-old Elly Hughes, who was an adorable “Milky White.”

This was Zeinab Caskey’s last production at FMCP as both actress and stage manager as she will be leaving to attend the UNC School of the Arts in the fall on a $10,000 scholarship presented by the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her well and appreciate all she contributed to the FMCP!

Fort Mill Community Playhouse...once again, you “did us proud” with a great production. God bless all who participated. Keep up the good work!!
