Don’t blame the deer

OK, let me get this straight: We move into the deer, racoon, possums etc. land and someone thinks the solution is to kill the deer because they eat their expensive flowers and landscaping?!

I have lived in ‘The Cay’ for 17 years and have seen one deer killed by auto – and that was actually at the entrance to the city! We used to have signs at the entrance that said “Tree City” and “Bird Sanctuary.” I don't see those anymore. Do you?

Deer smell? Golfers in danger? Deer ticks/Lyme disease? We destroy their habitat under the guise of progress and now want to kill them because they irritate some people?

Hey, Mr. Soprano, here’s a solution to your fears: move the HELL out of The Cay! Move to Charlotte. I was born there and they don't care much about any wildlife!
