Philadelphia United Methodist Church of Fort Mill was the setting Sept. 29, 2012, for the marriage of Sara Augustine English, formerly of Fort Mill and Jason Lee-Karl Beckett of West Columbia. The Rev. Paul Harmon officiated the 10:30 a.m. ceremony.
A brunch reception followed at Tega Cay Golf Club in Tega Cay.
The bride, daughter of Paul and Caroline English of Severna Park, Md., graduated in 2006 from Kent State University in Kent, Ohio after completing a Master’s degree in School Counseling. She is currently employed with Lexington One School District as a School Counselor.
The bridegroom, the son of Paula Stroud and the late Barry Beckett of Prosperity, graduated in 1998 from the University of South Carolina in Columbia with a degree in entrepreneurship. He is managing partner of Beckett Financial Group in West Columbia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Matron of Honor was Katherine Holt, sister of the bride. Maid of Honor was Mary English, sister of the bride. Best man was the bridegroom’s childhood friend, Justin Woody. Groomsmen were Dan Carpenter, Blakely Boyd and Bryant Boyd. Ushers were Tim Boyle, Brad Cox and Keith Harris.
The newlyweds honeymooned on an eight-day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean and settled in Lexington.
