— Kicking off Spirit Week, Nation ford High School held its annual Powder Puff all-girl flag football tournament Sept. 30. Teams were organized by class.

The tournament, a fundraiser for the school’s award-winning FBLA program, was won by the seniors.

FBLA, which this year has 68 students who begin competition in February in hopes of reaching Nationals in June in Nashville, is also working with several community service projects this year including:

• I’m a Kool Kid, a charity that helps local hospitals provide toys and small activities for children to help them during their stay

• March of Dimes

• Operation Christmas Child

• Build-a-Bear for Shriners Children’s Hospitals
