Water boil advisory in place in Tega Cay

October 16, 2013

— A boil water notice remains in place in Tega Cay following a water main break Tuesday.

Officials said a water sample was taken this morning and that the advisory to boil water before use will remain in place until sometime Thursday.

The incident happened off Tega Cay Drive near Heron Run around mid-day. By Tuesday evening the main had been repaired and lines were being pressurized, according to the city’s Facebook page. Traffic along Tega Cay Drive was impacted during the event.

Only Tega Cay Water Service customers are under the boil advisory. Tega Cay Utilities Department customers didn’t see any service interruption. Residents in some areas of Tega Cay posted to the city site that they were without water into the evening.
