Update: Fort Mill police find witness to armed robbery

Police are trying to find this man shown on an image from a store camera. They say is a witness who spoke to a suspect in Sunday's armed robbery at John Boys on Spratt Street in Fort Mill. — The Fort Mill Police Department on Tuesday asking for the public's help in identifying a witness they hope can help lead them to the suspect in Sunday's armed robbery at John Boy's on Spratt Street. Today, a department spokesman said they "have identified and located" the witness.

Police released an image from a store surveillance camera. A video from the camera shows a man wearing a yellow-colored sweatshirt/jacket outside the store as he is approached and spoken to by the suspect just before the robbery.

A man in all black held up a store clerk at John Boys at about 8 p.m. Sunday.

The suspect is described as a black man between 18-25 years old, approximately 6-foot, 2-inches tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, black pants and a baseball hat at the time of the robbery, according to the report.
