— The Humane Society of York County has many dogs, puppies, cats and kittens just waiting for the right family to give them a “forever home.” Among the many lovable pets you can meet there, the HSYC wants to showcase a fairly new addition, Darla, a boxer mix approximately 2 years old, and her trio of male puppies.

“She is a little skittish but warms up fairly quickly,” HSYC volunteer Mary Beth Knapp said. “Two of the pups look as though they are pit/terrier mixes and the third looks more like momma.”

“When we have mom and her pups running out in our front fenced area, they are so rambunctious and adorable,” Knapp said. “Come in and meet these cutie pies.”

Also new to the shelter is a kitten named Punkin, described as a sweet male orange tabby.

“He has such an old soul face and short stubby legs,” Knapp said. “He’s so sweet and just a purr ball.”
