Pretty in Pink: Emma Gladu crowned Miss Warrior 2013

— The Indian Land High School gymnasium was “Pretty in Pink” Thursday evening for the Miss Warrior 2013 Pageant.

Emma Gladu was crowned Miss Warrior 2013.

Also crowned were Miss Freshman Tehya Tuerpitz, Miss Sophomore Macy Chassereau, Miss Junior Brenna Dickerson, Miss Senior Hailey Nicholson, and Miss Congeniality Selena Stroble.

The theme of the pageant was “Pretty in Pink.”

ILHS teacher Doug Young introduced each class. This was followed by contestants showing off their fashion since, with the casual wear portion of the competition. The judges, Beverly Badgett, Michelle Rogers, and Kathryn Stuart, were asked to crown a princess from each grade. The title of Miss Warrior is awarded only to seniors.

This year contestants had a lot at stake a $250 scholarship, a $250 gift card to Reign Fine Apparel to buy a prom dress, a $50 prom dinner, a corsage and boutonniere from Black Door Florist, and an updo and nail appointment from Dulce Lusso Salon and Day Spa in Baxter.
