Tega Cay police to lead Christmas lights tour

December 9, 2013

— The Tega Cay Police Department will be hosting its eighth annual Christmas Guided Light Tour 6-9 p.m. Thursday starting at the Beach and Swim Center, 4420 Beach Club Lane.

“We host this simply as a way to say ‘thanks’ to our community for their support throughout the year, but also to enjoy the spirit of Christmas,” explained department spokesman Maj. David Nelson.

“We drive three commercial vans around the city for about 40 minutes enjoying Christmas lights and singing Christmas songs. While people wait, they can enjoy all kinds of Christmas goodies.”

Residents who have children should bring them along. This year, Santa Claus has been deputized as a member of the Tega Cay Police Department force and will be part of the festivities.
