— Two Allen Tate Realtors are kicking off the New Year with a pledge to give back to their community by donating a percentage of each of their commissions in 2014 to the Fort Mill Care Center.

Tracey Miller and Kelly Cahill, who have both been with Allen Tate for more than seven years, partnered in 2013 and in celebration of a successful partnership decided to do something generous locally.

“We chose the Fort Mill Care Center, as it does so much for the community,” Cahill said. “We are both residents and work in the area that the center services. We also both have children who attend the schools in the Fort Mill District.”

The donation is something business leaders should do, Miller said.

“We believe it is important as business owners to give back to the local community and show our appreciation to those that support us and our business,” she said.

The Fort Mill Care Center is a volunteer-run, nonprofit organization that offers a food pantry and financial assistance as well as other services to all Fort Mill Township residents in need. The Care Center has been in operation since 1967.

“We are proud to have local businesses support our organization,” Care Center Director Carol Higgins said. “Ongoing community contributions are what make this a successful agency. It is what makes the jobs of our volunteers easier and the lives of our clients a little better. We thank (Miller and Cahill) for showing support for what we do at the Fort Mill Care Center.”

Miller and Cahill were awarded the Master’s Circle Award for Top Performers, as well as VIP award winners throughout 2013. For more information, call Cahill at 803-389-0080 or Miller at 803-487-2357 or go to allentate.com/TraceyMiller or allentate.com/KellyCahill.
