From staff reportsMarch 3, 2014

— Banks Trail Middle School hosted the inaugural Howl at the Sun and Run for Fun 5K and 1-mile fun run Saturday.

The proceeds will be used for a literacy program, the Achieve 3000 Program for the 2014-2015 school year.

The race featured music and other touches to make it more fun than the typical 5K, officials said.
