FORT MILL — The latest office building in Kingsley Park is on its way, after receiving appearance review approval by the Fort Mill Planning Commission.
The commission voted favorably on the planned building at 234 Kingsley Park Drive. Joe Cronin, planning director for the town, said he doesn’t know what businesses will occupy the space.
“We haven’t gotten it yet,” he said. “At this point we just know who the applicant and builder are.”
Cronin said the new building meets what existing Kingsley Park offices already show.
“It’s very similar in style, architecture and materials,” he said.
Shelco, LLC is developing the project that’s being marketed by Childress-Klein Properties. A shared driveway will access the new building and a future one on a neighboring land parcel. The outside of the building will be precast panels and glass. A parapet will top the building.
It will have three stories and 60,000 square feet.
“Staff has reviewed the site plan and found no major deficiencies,” read the town staff recommendation. “The plan appears to feature high quality building materials and architectural features that will be consistent with neighboring structures.”
Kingsley Park has five buildings, housing businesses like Domtar and Mergent. It’s beside the Citi building on Munn Road.
